The rules

How it plays

  1. Play one card to capture a table card of equal value or a combination with the same sum.
  2. When an equal single card exists, standard rules require taking it instead of a combination.
  3. Clearing the table scores a scopa, except on the final play of the deal.
  4. Score most cards, most coins, the settebello, the best primiera and every scopa.
  5. Continue deals until a player or partnership reaches the target score.
Availability note. Expected October is an approximate target. Each wave arrives once the previous one is stable.

Ways to play

Variants, not separate apps.

One purchase contains the supported rules family. Each option below changes the table while keeping the engine's legal-move checks in charge.

Classic Scopa

Three-card hands with four cards on the table.

  • Hands are redealt until the deck is exhausted.
  • Common target is 11 points.

Scopone

The four-player partnership game with nine-card hands.

  • Deal nine cards to each player and four to the table.
  • The whole deck is used in one deal.

Scopone scientifico

All forty cards begin in the players' hands.

  • Four players receive ten cards each.
  • No cards begin on the table.

Asso piglia tutto

The ace sweeps every card currently on the table.

  • An ace captures the full table.
  • On an empty table, the ace is simply laid down.

Make it yours. Start from any of these, adjust the settings the game allows, and save it as your own template. When online play opens you can publish a custom table for others to join.
