The rules

How it plays

  1. Every round gives all players the same shared, non-depleting letter set.
  2. Build a dictionary word in any of eight directions from your edge, your own letters or an adjacent empty square.
  3. Players place simultaneously; first claims space, while fresh same-turn words can be smashed.
  4. Where words touch, matching letters, surrounding contacts and friendly diagonal support determine the fight.
  5. Hold a beachhead on the target edge for one round; Points and Conquest modes resolve the victory differently.
Availability note. Local play is available now. Arena and tournament features arrive as their online service opens, game by game — the offline game never depends on them.

Ways to play

Variants, not separate apps.

One purchase contains the supported rules family. Each option below changes the table while keeping the engine's legal-move checks in charge.

Duel

Two players on opposite edges, scoring ground after a beachhead.

  • Points mode.
  • A held beachhead ends the match; owned ground and the beachhead bonus decide the score.

Four Fronts

Four players race across a shared board.

  • Points mode with one home edge per player.
  • Both neighbours can collide with your advance.

Conquest

Four-player colour-stealing elimination.

  • Holding an enemy edge eliminates that player and absorbs their colour.
  • Last player standing wins.

Conquest Duos

Two teams of two, each partner retaining a colour.

  • Team colours remain independent.
  • Teammates reinforce rather than smash one another.

Conquest Duos · United

Two teams share colour, territory and beachhead.

  • Partners can build from one another's letters.
  • Each team conquers as one force.

Grand Conquest

Eight-player half-edge melee.

  • Eight individual colours enter.
  • The last surviving colour wins.

Grand Conquest Teams

Eight players split into two teams of four.

  • Partners retain independent colours.
  • The last surviving team wins.

Siege

Conquest with vulnerable supply lines.

  • Every owned cell must remain connected to its home edge.
  • Cutting a narrow connection collapses the isolated region.

Siege Duos

United 2-v-2 conquest with a shared supply network.

  • Partners share colour and supply.
  • The network can remain connected through either friendly home edge.

Make it yours. Start from any of these, adjust the settings the game allows, and save it as your own template. When online play opens you can publish a custom table for others to join.
