The rules

How it plays

  1. Use two 52-card decks plus two jokers and deal thirteen cards to each player.
  2. Draw one card, optionally play melds or lay off, then discard one card.
  3. Meld sets of equal rank or suited runs of three or more cards.
  4. Open with at least forty meld points in one move before laying off onto table melds.
  5. Go out first; cards left in opponents' hands become penalty points.
Availability note. Expected October is an approximate target. Each wave arrives once the previous one is stable.

Ways to play

Variants, not separate apps.

One purchase contains the supported rules family. Each option below changes the table while keeping the engine's legal-move checks in charge.

Scala 40

Heads-up with the classic forty-point opening.

  • Thirteen cards each.
  • The match commonly ends at 100 cumulative penalty points.

Four players

A busier table with four individual hands.

  • Four players follow the same draw-meld-discard sequence.
  • Table melds open more opportunities to lay off.

Long game

A longer match ending at 200 penalty points.

  • The standard opening remains forty.
  • Lowest cumulative penalty total wins when the end threshold is reached.

Make it yours. Start from any of these, adjust the settings the game allows, and save it as your own template. When online play opens you can publish a custom table for others to join.
