A card game about the scientific method: test cards against a hidden rule, study the accepted mainline and rejected sidelines, then state the rule when the evidence fits.

The rules

How it plays

  1. The app holds a secret rule that decides which card may legally follow the mainline.
  2. Play a card as a hypothesis; accepted cards extend the mainline and rejected cards form a sideline plus a penalty draw.
  3. Declare no play when you believe no card in hand fits, accepting a penalty if the claim is wrong.
  4. After a correct play, attempt the Prophet prediction test to solve the rule.
  5. The round also ends when a player empties their hand or the deck runs out.
Availability note. Expected January 2027 is an approximate target. Each wave arrives once the previous one is stable.

One purchase contains the supported rules family. Each option below changes the table while keeping the engine's legal-move checks in charge.

Eleusis Classical

The fuller New Eleusis-inspired game.

  • Fourteen-card hands and a two-card rejection penalty.
  • Classical scoring rewards shedding cards, going out and solving the rule; the app omits multi-card strings and marker elimination.

Eleusis Express

The streamlined teaching version.

  • Seven-card hands and a one-card rejection penalty.
  • Fewest cards wins, with a bonus for solving the rule.

Make it yours. Start from any of these, adjust the settings the game allows, and save it as your own template. When online play opens you can publish a custom table for others to join.
