The rules

How it plays

  1. Four players form North–South and East–West partnerships and receive thirteen cards each.
  2. Bid a level and strain, pass, double or redouble; three passes after a bid end the auction.
  3. The first player on the declaring side to name the final strain becomes declarer; their partner becomes dummy.
  4. Players must follow suit; trump wins, otherwise the highest card of the led suit takes the trick.
  5. The declaring side scores for making its contract; defenders score penalties when it goes down.
Availability note. Expected December is an approximate target. Each wave arrives once the previous one is stable.

Rubber · Standard

Standard/SAYC-style bidding with rubber scoring selected.

The British Acol bidding system with rubber scoring selected.

  • Acol meanings guide the partnership auction.
  • Card play follows standard Contract Bridge rules.

Duplicate pairs

Duplicate scoring for club-style comparison.

  • Each board is scored independently.
  • Vulnerability, doubles, redoubles, game and slam bonuses are included in the scoring engine.
